Rob has 18 years’ experience in Building Certification and Access Consultancy professions. Rob is an A1 Accredited Certifier in NSW and also holds Building Certifier licenses in ACT, QLD, VIC and WA. Based in Sydney, Rob has extensive experience in assessing all Classifications of buildings, issuing building approvals, Building Code of Australia compliance audits and reports and conducting Disability Access Audits. Rob is a member of the Royal institute of Chartered Surveyors and provides educational CPD training on their behalf. Rob prides himself on his unique customers focused service; delivering his services with upmost integrity and diligence in time frames expected by his Clients.
Nikki has over 20 years experience with both Access Consultancy and Building Certification and is an Accredited Member of the Association of Consultants in Access Australia and a Level 1 Accredited Certifier in multiple states. Nikki has been involved with a diverse range of projects throughout her career and is able to provide proactive and experienced advice. Nikki is a member of the Royal institute of Chartered Surveyors and acts as Supervisor & Counsellor for a number of APC Candidates and well as being involved with Assessment Interviews. Mentoring up and coming Building Surveyors is something she is very passionate about.
Laura is a valued member of the Newland Wood Team, providing expert office management & operational support to our Certification and Access teams. Laura comes with a wealth of administrative based experience and a background in television media and property. Her positive attitude, enthusiasm and friendly manner reflects in her customer service and relationships with our clients. When Laura is not working at Newland Wood, she loves exercising through yoga and dance and spending time with family, friends and her beloved dog Chester!
Senior Building Certifier
Tom has over 10 years experience in Building Certification and Access Consultancy having delivered lead surveying services in both the public and private sector. Based in Canberra, Tom has extensive experience assessing all building classifications, issuing building approvals, Building Code of Australia compliance audits and reports along with access audits.During his time in the UK and Australia, Tom has been involved with a diverse range of projects and is able to provide proactive and experienced advice. Tom is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and also mentors APC candidates.
In 2010, Ryan graduated from Dundalk Institute of Technology (DKIT) University with a Bachelor of Science Degree, majoring in Building Surveying. After completing his degree Ryan moved to Australia to beginning working as a Building Certifier. Ryan has worked on large projects including Barangaroo and Harold Park as well as various other commercial projects around Sydney and NSW. Ryan is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and currently sits on the MatRICS committee board. He is a A4 accredited building inspector and is working towards A1 accreditation by 2019. Ryan lives in the Blue Mountains and enjoys the peace and quiet that the mountains provide. He enjoys pop culture and participates in a weekly trivia night under the team name “Trivia Newton John”. He enjoys a direct approach and likes to bring humour to every situation.
Riana is an experienced and qualified Access Consultant. Riana’s experience in access consulting is reflected in the various projects that she has contributed to across Canberra, Queensland and New South Wales. Further, Riana’s experience in the building and certification industry is extensive, as she has held several positions in building certification administration, construction finance and administration, and defect management. Riana’s education in relation to Access Consultancy is comprised of a Certificate IV and Diploma in Access Consulting.
Assistant Building Certifier
Kshitiz studied Bachelor of Commerce and graduated from Australian Catholic University (ACU) in 2013. After graduating, he started working as BASIX Consultant/Residential Thermal Performance Assessor for almost three and half years. While working in his past company, he had to deal with different Building Certifiers and his desired to work as a Building Certifier grew, which made him study Building Surveying. He completed his Building Surveying for TAFE NSW in June 2017 and now working with Newland Wood Sydney as Assistant Building Certifier. Kshitiz main responsibility is to assist Building Certifiers with various projects and is working towards A4 accreditation in near future.

Jamie is currently studying for a Bachelor of Construction Management with Honours at the University of Newcastle and is training as a Building Certifier & Access Consultant. He has worked on a number of access and building certification projects and has experience in assisting with building audits, site inspections, building assessments and gathering data for projects.
